Having the perfect website is of little value without a steady stream of relevant visitors. Businesses use a variety of strategies and medias to get visitors to their websites, but for the majority of businesses, the most cost effective way to drive relevant traffic to a website is Internet marketing.
Of the many possibilities, Regency offers the two most effective online marketing methods, Search Engine Optimization and Pay-per-Click Promotion. Regency recommends a balanced combination of both methods to provide the greatest flow of relevant traffic to any website.
Regency’s Internet marketing services are always offered in conjunction with its website design and development services.
Regency’s .NET suite of Web applications that it used to build most solutions is 100% search engine friendly. From its administrative control panel, it is possible to manage title tags, meta tags and even keywords that appear in the URL.
1. Search Engine Optimization and Submission. This method of marketing uses the Internet's major search engines and directories to drive traffic to a site. Its ultimate success depends on the density of competitive websites, site content, the importance/relevance of sites that link to it, age of domain name, and other factors. The combination of these can determine whether a site appears on the first or the fiftieth search engine results page. In practice, only sites that appear on the 1st or 2nd page will receive measurable traffic.
Regency follows a process to optimize websites for search engines that includes wise selection of keywords, site-wide integration of keywords in text messages, thoughtful development of meta tags and page titles, hand submission to leading search engines and directories, and link building.
The advantage of search engine optimization is that after a site achieves good results across leading search engines, the cost of maintaining that position can often be relatively low depending on many factors. The disadvantage is that there is no guarantee that acceptable results (i.e. 1st or 2nd page) can be reasonably achieved, particularly in competitive markets.
2. Pay-Per-Click Promotion. Unlike Search Engine Optimization, Pay-per-click promotion is highly predictable, but necessitates a continuous and sometimes costly expenditure to maintain.
With pay-per-click, keyword phrases are registered with several providers of this service, and bids are made on keywords. If a bid is sufficiently large compared to competing bids, its website can be featured on the first page of most major search engines. If the featured link is actually clicked by the user, the site owner is automatically charged an amount related to the search term's bid value. Search engines annotate pay per click listings as "Sponsored Listings".
Regency provides a service to set up and manage pay per click accounts for its customers. We have tools that enable us to generate hundreds of relevant keywords and submit them to the leading pay-per-click providers including Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
