Jr. Website Development Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Manage web development projects from requirements definitions through launch.
  2. Work with the creative, technology, and business development teams on all aspects of the projects.
  3. Create and track project timelines.
  4. Ensure project completion within estimated duration and resources.
  5. Clearly organize projects and forecast deliverables and dependencies.
  6. Define and manage client expectations.  Communicate project status to clients on a regular basis.
  7. Keep senior staff apprised of the project's progress and alert them of potential problem areas.
  8. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and have in-dept involvement.
  9. Schedule and conduct project meetings or conference calls with clients and/or team members.  Document decisions made during the meetings.  Modify project specifications as required.
  10. Constantly looks for improvements in team and/or individual work processes to meet or exceed client expectations or requirements.
  11. Prioritize tasks and redirect work effort in response to changes in requirements or priorities.
  12. Ensure the quality of the completed website.  Perform quality assurance tasks to make sure all client requirements are met.

Skill Requirements:

  1. Previous work experience as a web project manager or web developer in a team leading role.
  2. Ability to manage the details of a complex web project without losing sight of the big picture.
  3. Understanding of the most common web applications, content management systems, e-commerce websites, database-driven websites, Intranets, Extranets, and integration with backend systems.
  4. Hands-on knowledge of web development software such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, etc.
  5. Working knowledge of HTML, Javascripts, XML, and CSS.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Superior interpersonal and organization skills.
  8. Ability to fully understand and clearly communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  9. Ability to work and deliver under extreme pressure and deadlines.
  10. Attention to details and insistence on quality and accuracy.
